E-Cigarettes : What You Should Know

Over the years people have been smoking the traditional tobacco cigarettes. Some have died due to it, while the rest have not been affected by it. Bottom line being that every individual is different and so are their tolerance levels. 
In order to ensure a safe and healthy life, the best bet is to keep away from cigarettes altogether. But in case you are already addicted to smoking and trying to quit, e-cigarettes might be your answer.  
Everyone must have definitely heard about e-cigarettes as it has become increasingly popular over the last few years. But you may not have the facts straight about this new way of smoking. Read on to understand the facts and truths behind e-cigarettes:   
5. Concept Using an e-cigarette is called vaping as you are essentially inhaling vapor. The heating of the liquid nicotine combined with other substances is what produces the vapor. Tobacco is non-existent in e-cigarettes and this is why e-cigarettes are considered safer than tobacco cigarettes.   
4. Appealing E-cigarettes look and seem very appealing as they are designed and marketed with exactly that purpose. The advertisements push the target audience to buy an e-cigarette, even if it is just to try it out. The design is very attractive and it is made available in a variety of flavors. This is a major reason why the e-cigarette appeals to the younger teen segment as well.  
3. Quality Issue E-cigarettes are not new in the market but they still are unregulated and therefore you can’t help but wonder about the safety aspect. All the ingredients and substances used may not be clearly stated and this insufficient information can lead to deadly consequences.  
2. Lethal  E-cigarettes do not contain tobacco but they still contain harmful substances, the long term effect of which remains unknown. Additionally, the nicotine in e-cigarettes is in the liquid form and this is more harmful when compared to the nicotine in tobacco cigarettes.   
1. Quit smoking As much as the claims state that e-cigarettes help you get off tobacco cigarettes, it does not! In the short term, e-cigarettes are safer than tobacco cigarettes but the long term effects have still not been determined. 
Studies have even proved that the youngsters who begin using e-cigarettes are more likely to switch to tobacco cigarettes in the near future than those who have not used e-cigarettes at all.   
E-cigarettes may definitely seem like a safer way to smoke as opposed to tobacco cigarettes but in the end, it still is harmful as it contains nicotine and is therefore addictive. So the decision to smoke a tobacco cigarette or vape an e-cigarette is up to you.
